12 Apostles Viewing Platform Closed

The coast along the Port Campbell National Park is constantly changing – that’s what makes it such a special and dramatic place. And now we are reminded just how living and dynamic it is as it moves ever closer.

Recent erosion has caused the closure of the lower viewing platform at the 12 apostles (where the person is standing in the photo) and also at the Blowhole, near Loch Ard Gorge amid fears of collapse. The good news is that other excellent viewing platforms at both locations remain open. Work to repair the threatened areas will be fast-tracked for re-opening.

Last year part of Loch Ard Gorge also gave way.
