New Otway Zip Fly Opens!

An exciting new adrenaline packed adventure has opened at the Otway Fly in the Otway National Park rainforest.

The new zip-fly is a fantastic nature experience that lets you ‘fly’ on a zip line in amongst the treetops between ‘cloud stations’, 30 meters above the ground. The tours are conducted by fully trained guides and open up a whole new world of appreciation of the forest ecosystem. Tours are limited to only 12 per tour, including two guides which means you should get a really close an informative encounter. It operates 7 days a week in any weather but it is advisable to bring some water resistant outer clothing (such as a jacket) – it is the rainforest after all!

Much planning has gone into this new attraction and it’s really exciting to finally see its opening. It’s the only one in Victoria. This should be a fantastic addition to the region and allows a really unique view of the forest.

For those who still prefer something under their feet, you can still experience the fly walkway – the longest and tallest in the world!

I took my family to the Otway Fly last Sept. My 10-year-old daughter and I went on the zipline tour while my wife and son did the tree top walk.It was our first time to go on a zip line and it was amazing and my daughter and I had lots of fun. The tour nearly got cut short as it was raining really hard and the winds were howling but the weather actually added more fun to the tour. My wife and son enjoyed the tree top walk but not as much as we enjoyed the zipline. We’re going back there in December when it is warm and dry as we were told that the lines would be faster then!
