Memorial Arch near Eastern View is a must see monument dedicated to those soldiers who died in WW1. The great Ocean Road was originally devised as a project to employ returned soldiers.

Memorial to those that built the Great Ocean Road and diggers statue.

The magnificent bronze sculpture depicts a worker handing over a drink in a classic scene of Australian mateship.

An accompanying beautiful bronze plaque (one of 13 dotted along the Great Ocean Road and weighing 85kg each) provides a history of this section of construction – the first to be completed.

It was unveiled in 2007 as part of the road’s 75th anniversary celebrations

The Split Point Lighthouse at Aireys Inlet stands at 34 metres and is still operating. A lovely walk around it takes visitors to views of the coastline.
